About the Exhibit:

This exhibit was created in 2021-2022 to explore the impact of COVID-19 on the Drexel community and beyond. The interviews in this exhibit were conducted by Drexel students for an Honors seminar in Summer 2020, which were subsequently donated to the Drexel University Archives. See the entire collection of interviews here: COVID-19 seminar oral history interviews.

All of the interviewers and interviewees signed release forms authorizing Drexel University Archives to make the interviews publicly available. We have excluded all interviews for which we do not have signed permission from all parties. In addition, we have also excluded all interviews that include references to the health status of identifiable third parties who were not directly participating in the interview (for example, if an interviewee spoke about her parent’s illness).

Oral histories are primary resources that preserve history through a person's own voice by narrating memories, perspectives, and experiences. Because oral histories are personal accounts, listeners may find some of the content or language objectionable. Please read our Statement on Harmful Content and Statement on Inclusivity to understand the ways in which we are examining and changing the way we approach archival work. If you encounter any harmful or offensive language or content on this website, in our finding aids, or in our digitized collections in Alma-D, please contact us at archives@drexel.edu

Transcripts:

Otter transcription software was used to automatically create raw transcripts of each interview. These transcripts have not been edited due to staffing limitations and are provided for reference purposes only, to help users get an overview of each interview’s contents and locate passages of interest.
