Hong Tran and Kyle Montgomery were physicians working within the Temple University Health System at the time this interview was conducted. Hong Tran was a general internist at an office in Northeast Philadelphia, practicing since 1996. Kyle Montgomery was a family practitioner, practicing since 1998. This interview describes both Hong Tran's and Kyle Montgomery’s personal experiences with the COVID-19 pandemic, touching on limiting contact and socialization. This interview discusses Hong Tran and Kyle Montgomery’s professional experience with COVID-19, including symptoms in patients, screening practices, and hospitalizations. Challenges with treating patients via telemedicine are discussed. Hong Tran and Kyle Montgomery describe different groups of people affected by the virus, including patients with diabetes and underlying lung conditions, and how communities with lower incomes were affected.
