Jake Samson graduated from Drexel University's Entertainment & Arts Management program in spring 2020 with plans to return in the fall term to begin the Master's in Business Administration program. This interview describes Jake Samson's involvement in Drexel's theater and improvisation comedy organizations and how performance shifted to an online environment. This interview reflects on how impressions of COVID-19 changed over time and how COVID-19 affected graduation, senior project, and cooperative education opportunities. Jake Samson shares thoughts on learning online versus in-person classes and describes preferences for classes for the fall term. Plans of moving back to campus in fall 2020 and concerns about safety are also discussed. This interview also touches on the experience of living with family during COVID-19 and the impact the pandemic had on Jake Samson's parents, who owned a business in food science and product development. This interview describes adapting to the virtual world quickly at the start of the pandemic and Drexel's response to the pandemic. Jake Samson also discusses how the suburbs of Wilmington, Delaware and the United States responded to COVID-19.
