Description

Anne Hanlon was a second year Drexel student majoring in engineering at the time of this interview. Anne opens with her thoughts on the beginning of the pandemic in the spring of 2020. She details her experience seeing the virus spread on TV. Anne says Drexel could have potentially done a better job at the start of the pandemic in spreading helpful information about the virus. The interview then moves to discuss Anne’s experience taking virtual classes in the Spring of 2020, and the adjustments she made to her routine while taking remote classes from home. Anne also discusses how the pandemic has affected the research opportunities and CO-OP positions available as businesses struggled to remain open. Also included is a discussion of Anne’s experience with the American Society for Civil Engineers. The interview concludes with Anne’s thoughts on another term of remote classes in the fall of 2020 and the future of the virus as a whole.

This interview was conducted during HNRS 301: COVID-19, taught by Scott Knowles during summer quarter 2020.
